I was excited when my newly repackaged CD of classical songs and opera arias arrived yesterday, only to discover a misprint on the jacket. I will have to order a new cover.
I will be unloading all these CDs for the cost of shipping (about $4). Message me with your address if you would like a copy.
Classical music is good for you and your babies, too! Open up to a whole new world of music! The CD consists of 10 tracks with 2 Italian selections, 3 French songs, 2 Spanish songs, and 3 engli…

We recently moved here from another county. Well I have been job searching hard to make it through the holidays. When I was at my previous job I put in my notice that I was leaving. The supervisor came to me and was like I hate that your leaving and I wish you the best but im angry with you right now. She was smiling when she said it but knowing how things were at that present time I knew somewhere in her mind she really meant it. A lot of the help that we had were leaving including me, and that…

Cavan (16 months) had his first visit to the ER a couple of months ago when he fell and busted his little baby button nose on the cold, low-level monkey bars of a local playground (see my previous blog entitled "Baby Rocky" for the full story). Since then he has been bumped, bruised, battered, and now that he is in daycare part-time, even bitten.
This morning I was cleaning up from breakfast when I witnessed my baby tumble once again to the ground before I could catch his fall. Since the day he…

My first semester as a college mom is almost over. As I helped my oldest daughter set up her dorm room in August, her Thanksgiving break seemed so far away. Now it is almost here, and I don't know where the time went. This first semester has been a rollercoaster of emotions - for both of us.
The nervous freshman that we said goodbye to in Arizona has been replaced with a confident young woman preparing to take on the world. So much has happened since she left, it sometimes seems like she's been…

I am the mother of 4 beautiful kids, 2 gurls and 2 boys. I have been married to a wonderful man for 2 years now. We just recently relocated to fayetteville. The thing is before I got married I lived with my mother. She is one of those types that if somthn needs to be done then she will go ahead and do it instead of asking someone else to do it. So naturally she did all the cooking the cleaning, shopping and all the otha stuff housewives spose to do. Now that I am married I have tried to do this…

Simple Tips and Recipe
The season is upon us. Cold viruses, the flu in its various guises, and hosts of other communicable illnesses invade our schools, shopping malls, and supermarkets in an attempt to ruin the holidays. Many of us have already stocked up on seasonal goodies such as hand sanitizer, tissue, and now with the threat of H1N1, facial masks; there are, however, other things we can do to combat the viral armies. Maintaining a healthy diet, especially in winter, is a great line…

Our first home in Charlotte was the house of my dreams: two-story foyer, ceiling-to-floor built-in bookcases, a bright wall of windows in the family room, and a fenced- in back yard filled with so many trees in bloom, that I would never know I had neighbors. I knew when I first saw it that this was where I wanted to raise my children (who were still a distant thought at that time). Little did I know that we would move to Fayetteville after only three years in the house, and then move again to Wi…

I am no different from everyone else in the sense that I have had my share of heartaches, trials and disappointments in my life.
One thing that I am proud of is that I refused to let it take away my dreams or desires of the life I wanted for myself. That's not to say I did not go through periods of anger, grief, resentment and bitterness. I did. Yet even during the worst of times I had faith that those times would pass, and that giving up on my dreams was not an option.
Too many times I meet p…

When I take a long hard look in the mirror, I hardly recognize myself at times.
Yet, with the fading stretch marks, extra plumpness, and the softness that has now become my body, I am more comfortable in my own skin then when everything was perky and nearly perfect, not so many years ago. I find that extremely ironic, that the insecurities I felt deep within were not apparent on the outside. I was nothing more then a pretty package filled with emptiness, longing and self-hatred.
The package I…

We have made it a tradition to go out to West Produce each October, and this year was no exception. It happened to be raining, but the kiddos were so excited we just did not have the heart to cancel, so we went anyway!
We didn't get a chance to go on the hayride, but are planning on going back next week and to get our pumpkins. The kiddos had a ball (and so did my hubby, my sister and myself), and the rain let up long enough for the kids to get up close and personal with the animals. Of course,…

When was the last time you took a moment to think about and ponder your own dreams, desires and aspirations?
That's what I thought.
Life has a way of getting in the way at times. Busy schedules, raising our kids, balancing our personal relationships and responsibilities...life gets a bit overwhelming at times, does it not?
All too soon our little ones will flee the nest we have created for them and will move on to lives of their own. If you are like me, in your mind you feel that this will be…
